It should be a cracker. Rooting for Thibaud and Jack but hope Leinster win.

With so much expectation it could be an extreme damp squib bore fest. Unlikely but could.

Ditto French but also the URC. And by tonight the URC could have both cups sown up. Hoping not though.

I find I'm watching more French matches than UK.  Still dead ignorant of course,  but very sorry for Newcastle;  having said that ....  they are still alive and playing.  Just.

Don't forget Thibaud. !

On his day he could be the most influential player on the pitch

Interesting to mention Celtic Warriors. First club to go in the then new structure. Doomed from the start- middle class  Bridgend, plus solidly working class Ponty. Different politics, geography and attitude. And gone within a year of their victory over us, which generated massive local interest.

Sad that today we are in the same boat.

Yes, the graciousness of the Toulouse fans, absolutely right. Real gents around us just above the Poitreneau incident, though they must have been sick as dogs. The club felt blessed at that time, the Howley try just a further sprinkling of magic after that amazing Munster match. Definitely on the side of the reds then on Saturday, not just because of this history, and not just because of Jack: they do play rugby from the gods at times. Nothing against Leinster, though - I know some say they don't enjoy visiting Dublin, but I always found their fans good craic when they came here. It could be an absolute corker at the weekend, to match anything that's come before!

I was there on a corporate jolly and it was the day I went from being a general rugby fan with no real allegiances, although I had a couple of favourites because of the rugby the played at the time, to being a Wasps fan.

We didn't live far from Adams Park at the time either, which was an added bonus.

It was a great day - we all remember the try, but the thing I remember most was the graciousness of the Toulouse fans after the match
