Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Dislike Friday fixtures
« on: April 29, 2017, 02:08:13 PM »
I've never liked Friday fixtures. We're usually playing away and often get beaten or just play really poorly. Friday nights at Sale or Newcastle were grim and often recipes for disaster. They mean a short turnround from the previous weekend. No joy in them and, yes, they can cloud the rest of the weekend's rugby.

Regarding 'niceness', I remember this with relish.

Should have been a penalty but it wasn't.

Neither our coaches nor our players are ruthless enough.

PS: And yes, we made a bollux of the kickoff.

I think Jimmy G would make a good captain. He has the air of a streetfighter about him. Also we wouldn't lose him when the internationals come around. In the past I have favoured a forward as captain, however our boys seem a bit too nice. We could really do with a Paul Volley/Buster White style of player who takes no prisoners.

Regarding WLR, his confidence appears to be shot. He needs one or two things to go right for him and he should bounce back. WLR on the wing and Beale at FB. Cips at 10 and Jimmy and Elliot in the centre. Wadey on the right wing - though last night Healey was musing about having him move to 11. Too late in the season for that IMO.

Sarries will come to the Ricoh scenting blood. There will be a big crowd - mostly our supporters. Lets go out and unleash hell.

I think we choked VV. WLR had a mare and Daly didn't look like a Lion. Hask is off the pace. It looks like he hasn't fully recovered from his toe injury (and possibly may never will). Nick Evans played his best game for a long time. I wouldn't bother watching it will only upset you.

I'd have him back like a shot. Terrific player. B*ms on seats.

Is the game being broadcast live by any chance?

Thanks, notso. All I have is a desktop PC that is over 7 years old and runs Windows 7. No tablet, no smartphone, no laptop. Can I access them with my internet connection and, if so, how?

Can someone please explain what a podcast actually is? It seems to me that it is something on the radio rather than TV. If that is the case, what is different about it?

Surprised to hear about the possibility of The Launch not being selected. Not so surprised about JJ or The Hask.

I remember Wasps getting badly outmuscled by Briz at Loftus Road.

I am with Raggs 100%. I would not want Gats to take Wadey unless he intends to start him in a test. I would far prefer EJ takes him to Argentina and let him set the pampas alight.
