Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Fiver Off Again
« on: December 16, 2020, 12:01:41 PM »
I had quite a long chat with an ex wasp from his first stint...who shall remain nameless

He does or did need support from his fellow team mates and he tended to share his personal challenges quite openly. I guess some environments are more forgiving than others in this respect and it can become quite tiring for some. I am casting no aspersions.

I’m a big fan and I wish him all the best. Mental health is so important as I have found out recently, without it you are pretty f’d.

Hopefully the likes of Joe Marler will reduce the stigma of sticking up your hand and asking for help.

I had a look on the glaws forum and they are sad to see him go.

Hope he finds happiness.

If the top brains on the planet can’t work out when it will be safe, anti body tests, vaccines, second wave etc etc, but the ERC, yeah should be good by October let’s do it then. They should let the WHO know it’ll be fine and not to worry too much.

Let’s face it, it’s not happening.

In a cold light

He wanted to leave wasps, he left wasps (I was also gutted), he is now unfortunately injured and has been released. Speedy recovery wished.

I don’t see why we would entertain it at all.

Is there an lockdown exception for 30-40 people to gather and play sport together? I haven’t seen one. They would all have to test positive for antibodies wouldn’t they?

Pretty mad stuff and i’m loving it. Strange how it’s basically the same set of players. Just shows how a lot of elite sport success is down to the mind-game. Well somethings certainly happened! Whatever it is long may it continue.

This has really set up my weekend nicely. So pleased for everyone involved to let loose. Proper send off for Dai. Can’t wait for the highlights!

If i’m honest I think we both could do with a change. Best of luck to Dai seems like a total gentleman. Let’s hope there’s an amicable conclusion/outcome whatever that may be.

21, I was sure someone changed PMQs to 2 weeks, who changed it back?

PMQs were twice weekly (2 x 15 mins Tues and Thurs) until 1997. Bliar changed it to one 30 min session on a Wed and it has remained so up to the present day.

Ah yes! Thanks.
