Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Is Dai the right man to lead the club?
« on: February 09, 2019, 11:11:30 AM »
Agree totally with your sentiments. I imagine all leaders whatever their sphere go through the wringer at some stage in their respective careers. I have loved watching wasps over the past 4 years and win lose or draw have pretty much enjoyed all the games. The style of rugby has been entertaining and that has to be down to Mr Young. We have struggled this season due I believe to the long term injuries but hopefully having read the latest injury report things will soon turn the corner.

He has a quality about him in interview that most sportsmen have, a sort of single mindedness that borders solipsism. He hides it a bit less than most, but he covers it up with a bit of self deprecating humour. I don't honestly think there is any malice in what he says, and if I were at the end of an international rugby career and looking for media opportunities I would be a little blunter than I would at the beginning of my career. His return to Wasps heralded the start of what has been a fine era for the club, and in his career.  I wish him well....

I doff my hat to you sir.. "solipsism". I had to look that up.

I write a lot of reports at school and I often get comments regarding being sponsored by a dictionary........truth be told I can't spell very well and have learnt a lot of unusual words to circumvent spelling more common ones.
So WWW you are sesquipedalian

I think that wasps have had some quality signings over the last couple of days. I hope this puts to bed some peoples impression that there was trouble at mill. it is unlikely that players with obvious connections to current squad members would join an organisation with a toxic culture.
i wish them well for the coming seasons and think that we could be in for some fun at the ricoh.
