I soon as I saw the two big news stories break today I thought we were overdue a sport network shut down!

Shame to see Cips go. Even worse news about Sam.

It definitely needs to be investigated. How independent is the independent match doctor?

Can't have a system set up to protect players welfare being gamed for tactical advantage.

Cipriani's at that age where his value will start to drop soon. He might get a 3 year contract in France worth €500k a year (numbers at random) as a 30 year old but would he still get such a good contract as a 31 year old?

This thread seemed to start after Goodey's hint at a world class 10 arriving from France. One who fit that bill and was out of contract and I wouldn't have minded Wasps signing was Freddie Michalak. Well, he's just announced his retirement so that's a no-go. I didn't think he was quite so old! Impressive career - France's leading points scorer, 3 grand slams with France and a Heineken Cup runners up medal in 2004...

Are they questions fans of other teams would know easily enough? Don't want to put off genuine visitors.

I pointed the Leicester fans in this direction when they noticed Waspies had vanished. Don't think any have posted but hopefully a few came for a look.

Can the judge rule out any lawsuit SISU may want to start against Wasps and/or the Council? What if the Council stopped collecting SISU's bins? Are SISU not allowed to sue over that? I'm being ludicrous of course but with SISU, closing down one lawsuit doesn't mean they won't start another!

Even if as part of mediation SISU agrees to drop all court action can they be trusted not to restart the litigation, or start a new frivolous action, 2, 3, 5 years down the line?

Not sure I'd want them hanging around.

I'm not sure the council would be too keen to sell land at a "knock down price"... it caused them no end of problems last time they (allegedly) did that!

Judge says “This is a case crying out for an honest attempt at mediation.”  :-X

Looks like SISU have what they want from the day, except the judge suggesting mediation.

How's Tommy Bell been getting along? Is he first choice for Irish?

Even less of a complaint then! Hardly a CJ Stander or Hadleigh Parkes.

He qualifies from a grand parent doesn't he? So if England didn't have a restriction on selecting overseas players he could already have picked up a few caps.

I think that's very different to players qualifying by residency, particularly when that residency was all when under a professional rugby contract (as opposed to children moving with family).

Whether qualification should go back to grandparents or stop at parents nationality is another matter.
