Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Eddie's Aus Crash and Burn.

I know Aus and England are a mess as are Wales, who arguably might have been beaten by Fiji with a different referee. However, the Fiji team have a decent chance against anyone except perhaps Ireland and if they got the rub of the green could probably beat them as well.

I made ?40 on that result at 4:1 odds. There was no way those odds reflected the likelihood.

Just watched George Moala's tip tackle that earned him 5 weeks. The management of the game is all over the place.

I suspect this is gamesmanship from the Aussies! England looked marginally less predictable with Ford.

For once a change that makes sense. Review the footage in a reasonable amount of time without the pressure of being on the spot and watched by thousands of people, with players trying to get into your head.

First game in months that I have seen, a mate invited me to watch.

Tom must have lost a lot of form if Billy is playing better.

Ford seemed to create more.

Whooping a cheering like you won the game for knock on...

I thought the kick to the corner with 12 players was the wrong call, shows what I know.

I hate the huddle after the game, it just looks like management BS, go and get in an ice bath or something. I struggle to see how Genge ranting on at the players after a game is going to to make a blind bit of difference to the next game.

In a similar vein, Borthwick's interviews are not the problem, but every other news item seems to think everything would be fine if he was good at them.

Has the world gone mad?

Nice to see the boys still have a Whatsapp group and are looking out for each other https://twitter.com/d_jrobson/status/1687162702236434436?s=46

Reading that kind of made me feel like reading about Wasps when they were still alive and kicking.

I have said it before. With the benefit of hindsight, it would have been better if Wasps had taken its medicine sooner. Back when it would have been seen as a disaster to end up in the championship...

Perhaps the same is true for PRL. I don't sit around hoping for clubs to fold, but I fully expect it to happen. When it does, I don't expect to be particularly upset, or for it to be the end of rugby.

CEO changed, finances heading in the wrong direction. Sounds familiar.

It's a tricky one regarding taking the kids out of school. I don't think they are as hard on it now, suspect it depends on age. Taking kids out of school to go on holiday would not sit well with me, but each to their own.

Football fans forgetting to turn off their BT/TNT hub after a game so the system thinks they are watching the rugby is more likely.

No need for the playoffs then if international players are available all season.

Interesting point, was that the justification for play offs originally?

Because it is so hard for teams with lots of national players...

So they decided on a process that creates opportunities to travel well and feel important. I wonder when they will conclude with actions that require people within to travel well and feel important.
