Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: 'The other place'
« on: May 03, 2019, 03:14:52 PM »
I transferred over here a month or two back and haven;t looked back.

DW has turned into a hostile place where view points and opinions are shot down with aggression. The language and theme of posts began to influence mine and i definitely posted some things in the heat of the moment that I'm not proud of (usually followed up quickly with an apology!). So that's when i knew it was time to come over to here and get back to rugby related discussions and accepting others view points.

Really like the atmosphere here and don't intend to ever post on DW again.

This is exactly how I felt, just don’t understand why people had to get personal. I except that not everyone will agree with me but no need to get personal

Apart from Nathan and Stuart, the rest doesn’t bother me.

Bring in a 2nd row a centre and a winger then let’s see what that does.

It’s all about the coaches getting the players to maintain a high intensity. It’s been far to up and down this season, which the coaches must fix

I’m happy with the team, shame we don’t have a full time 10 but I believe the team is good enough to win this.

If our intensity is up then the result will come our way

I do think we are weak in the 2nd Row. Obviously launchbury is quality and I really like Gaskell. Then for me it’s a massive drop down I don’t think Rowlands is premiership level or at best just. Matthews and Myall aren’t Tearing up trees.

With launchbury away for so much of the season we do need a very good 2nd row to come in. Wouldn’t mind Myall or Rowlands to leave to get extra cash in

Roll on next year, eh? Although if I am honest  if we don't pick up at least a second row and another back three or wing/centre,  I feel we will be not much better off.

Totally agree.

Absolutely agree with this. Second row is a must, I’ve said it all season Rowlands is not good enough, we should let him go and pay a lot of money for a quality lock.

We will be in the same position next season if we don’t make the right signings.

We can still make top 6, if launchbury and Gaskell are fit.

Don’t see the point of top 4 as it will be a so one sided affair. Also just want this season over.

Please make the signings

Which proves that the standards are pretty low

Also pretty disappointed with Munster, how the hell do they keep getting to the semis.

A lot of teams really do need to step up

Obviously cheats do prosper and Sarries will continue to do it if an owner is happy to lose millions each year.

Shame, spoiling the beautiful game and no one does anything about.

I wonder if sarries are sponsored by carpet right. May need some more carpet to sweep it all under.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Exeter game (Spoilers within)

That is without question our best performance of the season. Nathan was absolutely superb and deserved motm.
Watson, Gaby, shields, Simpson had extremely good games. Launchbury was brilliant as well.

Our defence was the best I’ve seen it for years, we were in Exeter’s face pretty much all game. Not the best first 15 mins then brilliant.

I love it when we say ‘you shall not pass’ fantastic.

If we keep that up then we will be difficult to beat

Absolutely great, fantastic to get a bonus point win.

Well done Nathan to get 2 try’s. I rate Nathan a lot and I’m gutted he is going.

Can someone please let me know how Gaby got in and Elliot

972
I think that Wasps team and overall squad can beat Wuss on home soil, especially with a large and hopefully vocal attendance. I hope JdJ is being kept back to see how ED and Gaby do, and then come into the mix later if it isn't clicking - fingers crossed it is nothing more sinister. Glad to see Heem is out, he has made mugs of us in the past, Adams and Howe are a worry, it depends on which Te'o turns up.....as he can be a handful when he fires. I will be there, can't wait #coyw

Wouldn't Ben cover the back row.

I like it when Ashley has 20 minutes, definitely makes an impact.

Sorry but i think its a shocking decision to play Gaby at 12 and not JDJ. Gaby can't pass, so that will leave ED and MW very frustrated getting slow poor ball.

I hope I'm wrong and Dai isn't

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Christian does a speed test
« on: April 02, 2019, 03:01:16 PM »
When Christian was younger he use to train with my nephew. Christian had blistering speed over a short distance. His ability to reach top speed was very quick, which is why he was so difficult to stop.

He was very good at 100m and 200m but not so good at 400m. My nephew couldn’t match him at 100m but was able to beat him at 400m.

In rugby you don’t need that longer distance pace. 0-60 is where it counts and he was brilliant at that, especially has he could change direction at ease.

Very sad he left

I accept that Willis May be back from a slight knock but he was awesome coming back from a long term injury.

If he doesn’t start, he must be in the 23. Let shields run like a mad man for 55/60 mins then Willis comes on. If Willis is fit he must be at least in the 23

Looks like he won't be fit at all :(

Really is Jack Willis not going to be fit

Just spotted injury update, really disappointing. Hate that he has to see a specialist, that really could mean all kinds
