I’ve been thinking........
We have recruited like for like replacements for Dai Young, Andy Titterall and Dan Baugh.
If Lee Blackett is stepping up and overseeing the coaching team this leaves a gap as a backs/skills coach doesn’t it?
Martin Gleeson is the Assistant Skills Coach but is new to rugby union so is unlikely to have the experience to step up so soon.
Does anyone believe Dave Walder will plug that gap and join us?
-
Seems like Martin Gleeson is now attack coach rather than assistant, given how attack has improved under current set up I'm not unhappy.
-
Your correct that there does seem a space in the coating set up regarding the backs, maybe this is being kept warm for Rob Howley..........
-
Jimmy, perhaps, once he decides when he wants to stop playing? Joint player/coach role next season?
-
Good shout Heathen, hopefully that's the plan.
-
Who’s coaching the scrum technicalities now?
Losing Dai and Titteral is massive in this area and lots of clubs have specialist scrum coaches, this is my area of concern.

Forwards Blaze
Backs Lee
Defence Costello
Attack Gleason
Transition. Everard
Looks fairly straightforward to me. How many do you want? Jimmy skills coach - kicking?
-
I know we have Blaze but not exactly a scrum specialist compared to Dai and Titterall.
We’ve had one of the best scums around for a number of years and would hate for this platform to fall away
-
Yes, but did you see how the Tigers scrum performed in the 16/17 SF against Wasps?
