Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Lee's post match comments
« on: November 08, 2021, 09:41:09 AM »
I must admit the cynic in me thought that Nearchou may have had a 'tactical injury' so we would move to uncontested scrums.

I do wish him a speedy recovery. Give him a few more appearances off the bench as he is building up his stamina and then lets review his progress. Judging him off of one game isn't a fair representation IMO

Daly's attitude on the pitch and his obvious lack of desire to play for us stills leaves a sour taste in my mouth, so no smites from me!
I do miss Loz though, he has turned into a fine player. IMO

Agree with most of that. Not sure where it leaves Hougaard. Carr was well worth an 8.

after todays performance, behind Porter in the pecking order (IMO, on present form)

I never expected us to win this. But I think the most frustrating thing is the ref inconstancy when calling advantages.
Sarries get to run 30m before their knock-on advantage is over. Wasps get a pick and go before its called over...

Can someone please clarify something for me? One hand on the ball and one hand on the grass in my eyes in not holding yours wait and a penalty offence and yet Lawes gets the penalty in his favour

Too many daft penalties! Would like some constancy in calling offside as well. Aside from the scrum, we are getting pushed around

Entertaining game, but for the love of god can we please learn to exit efficiently from our 22

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Hooped Shirt
« on: April 26, 2021, 11:03:49 AM »
I was very wrong about the shirt. Thought the season ticket holder's names would make it look too messy but actually they added to the shirt a lot. If funds were available I would be buying one, fingers crossed that Wasps listen to the fans calling for a hooped shirt next season

I'm pretty sure I heard the commentator mention on Sunday that we are after Devoto. I know this rumour has been around for a couple seasons but he could 3rd choice FH

Might get a bit of hate from this.
I love the hoops and would 100% buy it if the season ticket names weren't on it. Don't get me wrong I am happy that the club have shown appreciation for the season ticket holders, but I think that the names make the shirt a little messy. So from a pure aesthetic point of view its not for me. Glad that those who bought it are happy though, and its nice to see that the club have done something that effectively puts the names of season ticket holders in the history books.

Very entertaining game so far.

Must say I thought the second 'tackle' on Paolo to just get him in touch was a shoulder barge

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Luke Bowen
« on: March 29, 2021, 03:45:06 PM »
Announced on twitter that Luke is moving on from Wasps after 10 years of service as Head of Performance Analyst and Recruitment Analysis. If you don't know him, he is the guy with the cracking beard (slightly jealous) that often sat next to Dai. Surprised its not on the website, but nevertheless I wish the man very good luck with whatever he ends up!
He's as top bloke that bought me a beer when I celebrated my 21st birthday watching Wasps vs Tigers 5 years ago.

Does make me wonder if Wasps are looking to get some fresh minds in and unfortunately means that some of the old guard need to move on? food for thought.

If we had had that loss after then rubbish string of performances we have displayed under Dai's reign, the majority of people on this board would have been calling for Dai's head. Questions need to be asked about Lee and his team of coaches. We were headless for many parts of this match.

Deliberate knock-on? is that the prize for the worst call of the season

We are very much a team that plays on the flip of a coin. It's great when things fall our way but everything feels like a 50:50 gamble

That was lovely by Miller! his name is nailed to start next week
