Due to "illness" Spencer brought in as replacement. Shame for him.
-
How frustrating for Dobby.
-
That is terrible news.
-
Unlucky for Dan. I guess all it means, though, is a different guy keeping the bench warm.

Don't be silly, Spencer plays for Sarries, he'll start against Scotland.

Illness.. he's probably "sick" of keeping the bench warm
When the 6n's is over we will have the freshest international players in the nothern hemisphere available to us

Sorry, yes you are right! ;D

What's the betting Eddie decides that Dan can't go to Japan because he doesnt have enough caps?

Possibly. Probably one of a ream of excuses he's got ready.
-
Probably has an under-12 lined up to be an apprentice and go to Japan for experience instead.
-
Probably got piles from sitting on the cold bench

That's a bit of a worry.
-
That sounds a bit more than a stomach bug, by the way this article is written
-
Dan and the club just can't catch a break, everytime he is where he needs to be he gets cursed.
Wasps couldn't have any more bad luck if it ordered it on Amazon..we really need Dan back.
-
Amazon?
-
Sounds quite bad for Dan.. potentially out for the rest of the season. I can't access the article as its in The Times but apparently blood clots - Deep Vein Thrombosis
-
That is terrible news, we seem to be jinxed, let's hope it isn't career ending.
-
I guess it depends on what caused it. It could be post traumatic, but if not it could be a problem.
-
You can read what Bobby bridge has to say:

Feel for him and the uncertainty about whether he will ever play again. Beyond bad luck which seems to follow our scrum halves through recent years. Actually not just that position! Dai must wonder what deity he has upset. Rain dance requires to ensure Joe S stays fit.
-
Eddie's fault plus the bench :(
-
Interesting stat from that article - I wonder who keeps those stats.. the club itself? That's a lot of work for Bobby Bridge to do by himself
Percentage of front-line Wasps minutes played
Dan Robson: 43% (all season), 24% (since October)
Nathan Hughes: 38% (all season), 19% (since October)
Joe Launchbury: 14% (all season), 12% (since October)
Elliot Daly: 69% (all season), 46% (since October)
Brad Shields: 38% (all season), 36% (since October)

So sorry for Dan.
It's alright though, I didn't want to watch championship rugby next season...
-
Really sorry for the guy - I broke my leg at the time I played for Wasps, and was on Warfarin for a year following a resulting DVT and PE, during which time I wasn't allowed to play any contact sports. After that I developed spontaneous DVTs and was put on Warfarin for life which stopped my "rugby career".
Hope he recovers, and the DVT is just a result of leg blows, which isn't uncommon, and he will be able to return to rugby when the anti-coagulation treatment ends - possibly 6 months.
-
I feel absolutely awful for Dobby. :'( :'( :'( What incredibly bad fortune. I am lost for words. I do hope he recovers from this 100% and comes back in great shape for next season. It seems to just get worse and worse for Wasps.
-
In a touch of irony, one of the big risk factors for DVT is sitting still for long periods of time, so clearly it is Eddie's fault for having him on the bench for so long... ;)

Absolutely - but I thought I'd not be the best person to point that out!
