At Grange Road in Cambridge last night, Trinity College Dublin played the way Gleeson suggested - hardly kicked for touch, no box kicking and often running it from their own try line. Centres and flankers interchangable and wingers seeing the ball more in 40 minutes than the England ones do in an international season.  If they hadn't changed half their side at 1/2 time, it could have been sixty or seventy - Cambridge couldn't cope and were utterly perplexed by the lack of structure shown by TCD. Also, best game I have seen for ages so it can be done [albeit at a lower level]

If this goes ahead [I have no idea if the RFU can force it through] then the league should be only for EQP in order to provide a proper pathway or those coming back from injury qualified for any country

The way these bonds work is that there is no continuous trading. That means the price is marked down to the point where buyers appear or up to the point where sellers emerge - the probability is that there were a couple of sellers who spooked the market and the price was marked down accordingly with almost no volume. Given the rout in the corporate bond market, this isn't surprising and when VV tried to buy the price went up on no volume!
On the other board, I enquired as to the security on the bond and was told there was none. Can this be true?

This probably gives CVC even bigger leverage - cash injection for a bigger [controlling?] equity stake........

One can only hope any payments from North London to Namibia over the last few years are properly investigated............

Did the 05 tour to NZ - great experience and a nice Waspie gathering before the last test in Auckland where [if I remember correctly, memory is a little hazy!] Gats bought everyone a drink and Ma Nonu sat outside in a car so as not to be seen out drinking.......
Did all the booking, tickets etc. myself but not sure if that's the best for RSA.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Consortium trying to buy Coventry City
« on: March 22, 2019, 09:11:56 AM »
Just wanted to let Waspies know a little about the person fronting the rejected bids for City, if you dont already!
Gary Hoffman [aka Higs], Bablake School and Queens' College, Cambridge, Barclays Bank, Northern Rock [sent in to clear up the mess] and other posts. City fan but also a very pugnacious hooker in his time [with,as with most hookers, an inability to throw straight] and a rugby fan. A good guy and, all in all a better person for Wasps to deal with than the present owners. Light at the end of the tunnel maybe?
