Only thing that needs a change is your repeated message

They have all been replaced, so doubt there is much left.

Its certainly trying but its a massive uphill struggle against the big machines I just mentioned. The status, money and notoriety that these sports offer even 3 tiers down is almost impossible to compete with. Factor in what you have been brought up with, like us Brits, its hard to adopt new sports.
Its niche enough for sure but for example, of Americans I have exposed to it have thoroughly enjoyed it and now have an interest, be it loosely. I hope the US do well at the RWC as nobody likes a winner more than Mericans.
NBC Sports Gold have the rugby rights out here and its almost a giveaway at $69 per season so its there to be taken but i'd say exposure could do with an injection.

If I have 30k to spend on a car and you have 100k then chances are your car will be better than mine...so in that respect it IS unfair to compare to Sarries.
Attwood or like would be decent money, only so much to go round.

Sheilds i'm unsure about, I see the merits but not convinced.

Im not saying we don't need to improve 2SR, I'm just not convinced we are weaker than any other teams. If we are weaker than Sarries and Bath, I can live with that.

You don't have to be in the NFL to have 'made' it, the underleagues are as big if not bigger. My local CFL team see's a +90k per game sellout and spans 3 states. You are a celebrity in CFL and where rugby can't compete is the tuition scholarship programs offered to football, basketball, baseball players

If they have a heritage that may have exposed them to rugby, such as McGinty or Lamositele then they are the exceptions. As someone that lives in the US I can tell you that 9.5 people out of 10 don't even know what rugby is outside of having heard of it.

Raggs, I will have some if what you are having, optimism is one thing but if you can't see that we are short there I don't know what to say. Our locks are prem standard, if you mean Newcastle or Worcester standard. If you mean top four, no, just no.
Launch, Gaskell is a reasonablly strong combination, and then all the others are fourth choice locks, or fifth by top four standards.
Sarries bring on Kruis and Skelton.

Quoting Sarries as an example just doesn't support an argument, they are playing a totally different financial game.
You talk top 4, is our roster at 2nd row weaker than Quins, Saints  or even Exe? Gloc yes, but the others i'd argue not significantly.

Perhaps NFL players that can't make it might fancy a go but I think it will be decades if at all where people consider it a direct choice.
Agree it has potential, 300 million peeps in a sport mad country has to succeed if handled correctly.

On the Wilson thing, it does say a post WC loan deal until Newcastle come back up. Not sure how a loan affects salary cap, maybe a salary sharing deal with Falcons, cheaper for them and we get a low cost International.

Who knows who we'll have fit by the time the WC ends????

Pre RWC training, RWC, post RWC rest protocols, 6N, more rest protocols...

It doesn't fit in any way and could be unsettling for no reason...I hope Jim has his facts wrong and he goes to Sale. Our back row is just fine without him.

I read it as they made a decision it was Edwards..now it isn't they need to re-look and come to another decision...expected really.

Wilson is a worry, in a RWC year, whats the point.

Teo is off, but it doesn't say where to.

Even if they manage to stay up it isn't looking good for next year.

I'd say this was a major boost to the club, get his 450k off the books and get someone that can play more than 3 games a season.

Wonder if Booth fancies coming in working with Titterel and the forwards or as head coach giving Dai some more time.

Great track record of course of bringing youngsters through too

I wonder if Will Stuart is now regretting his decision

Who regrets bags of cash  ;D
