Looking at the table, the Tigers win / not win is a sickener...we'd be safe and they'd be cacking it..cheers JP

I agree Jonny, I'm not sure why Porter wouldn't start.

Maybe he is seen as the genuine backup to Simmo so poss injury risk?

I'm not  a fan myself.

Unless you have an absolute master of them in your team they are too hit and miss. Also tell's me either the team dont have the ability or confidence to score tries.  If your always ahead on the board I guess there is a place for them to build the scoreboard but only to supplement try scoring ability.

Always feel a bit deflated post drop goal. For me either pressure will result in a more kickable penalty or reap the reward of a possible 7. Plus, as a player when you miss your never thanked for the decision.

(Pub in an hour....can't wait!)

I have heard that a lot of the players don’t like Dai’s management, that could be the problem.

5 points ahead of Worcester is a concern, something does need to be done. I don’t think we have as good a team lined up for next season, unless other signings are going to be announced. Very worried

Would those players be moving on or signing up again? Sound's like bollx to me...

I'll buck the trend, I thought we were much improved and had a BP until 3 mins to go away to Glaws...who are the form team ATM.

I will say Shields shouldn't be a starter..whilst industrious he misses too many tackles when he constantly bites on on the wrong player leaving gaps.

Im surprised by the responses here..sounds like everyone thought we'd win this.

So Young and Willis are injured obviously as you would pick either ahead of Hughes. Why put Daly straight in at another position he doesn't play instead of Josh who at least scores some tries. Continue with lateral running no pass Gaby when Neal was obviously up for it last match. Great to see Launch and Shields back plus ZZ. Not convinced by the backs but forwards should hold their own. Glad it is not on TV.

But Daly has played plenty of wing, he isnt better than WLR at 15 and isn't preferable at 13 either...
I think Neal would need some time at 12, yes he came on last game but was culpable for a try..Gaby on his day may have the edge, depends when the next day is i guess.

I'd keep Rob and Tom but I would cut Gaby, Waston and Garratt loose. I don't know if I'd keep Hampson, we have Vellacott coming in and I'd like to see Will Porter getting a bit more time.

We have to remember that Dan's blood clots might end up being career ending. We won't know for a few months yet, so it might be a bit premature to let Hampson go before we know what's happening about Dan.

If Dan is done we'd need another #1..Hampson isn't that.

I'd be happy with Porter, Vel and the guy from the red's

I subscribe to NBC so get every game every weekend.

I tend to watch them all because I love rugby and have a decent missus. ..the exception being Saracens, I never watch their games..nothing to do with my thoughts on the Salary cap, or a dislike of their supporters or even club, I literally just can't stand watching them or their players.

Perhaps wrong thread, just felt like a rant...sorry.

To make a statement that we should be signing EQP's as is kind of baseless knowing whats available, as are most of Heathens posts.

I merely asked if we could sign some English players - is that an unreasonable request?

Not unreasonable, my retort was what English players?, because they dont exist. It's like me post asking why we arent signing more Russian player players, which would be a pointless question.

So I understand, Sarries, who deal direct with the players and ditch the agents were voted 2nd by agents?

That aside..has to be one of the most pointless polls I have ever read, it has zero baselines.

Surprised by Alex Shaw

Hampson to Ealing i'm fine with. I'd certainly like to retain Miller but I'm on the fence about Reider, he has been out so long and i'm not sure what version will be back on the pitch. I like him and he's a fine player but we have a few decent back row options these days, comes down to money and play time for the likes of Tom Willis.

TJ has looked decent when he has appeared but at 25 he'll want gametime beyond his 3rd/4th choice. I'd be happy for him to stay tho.

Myall is a def keeper, penalties aside he's a good operator.

West - no opinion.

Hymenoptera...
I agree. I have no idea who else we should be signing. There's not many eqp players that look particularly exciting.

That being said, even Jamie Noon looked like an exciting centre once. (Admittedly in an England game where I believe he played outside Danny Cipriani)
Ben Youngs was known for being a lively, fast, sniping scrum half.
George Ford was a defence unlocking fly half.
Etc etc etc

In the right environment, at the right times, with the right focus, most players can play an exciting brand of rugby.
You just need players around them playing the same way and have a team style that suits it.

Basically the England team then.

Having 15 or 23 or 30 decent EQP isn't enough to facilitate club recruitment. At 3 per team thats 36 players.

Looking at the EQP's, Manu -600k, Ford 450k, Itoji/Farrel/George etc... anywhere from 600k to infinity. We signed a raft of EPQ's this season...how's that gone down.

To make a statement that we should be signing EQP's as is kind of baseless knowing whats available, as are most of Heathens posts.

Charlie Walker is quick but nothing else and can't tackle a bag. He hasn't been near the first team for quins for as long as I can remember and that along with the fact he hasn't been snapped up for next season yet confirms he doesn't tick the 'Quality' box.

Clarke is ok, isn't first choice for Bath and regularly injured, jury is out on his 'Quality' box ticking status.

Not sure 2 players constitutes a list anyway.

Can we have some skilful English recruits please!

The English game is producing players ideal for Sarries and Exeter. Enough said. The few quality players that avoided this fate are spoken for.

Or is it that Saracens and Exeter have styled their play around the type of players that the English game produces?

I understand what Heathen is saying.
Even based on the information we have at the moment (and with the Leyds rumour), it's possible that we could field the following team next season:
Zuzu, Taylor, JTA
Launchbury, Gaskell
Johnson, Young, Carr
Robson, Sopoaga, Bassett, JdJ, Fekitoa, Leyds, Miller
That would be 9 non-English players in the starting 15

Admittedly, you could just as easily have McIntyre, Brookes, Willis (x2), Neal in that starting 15, and have Morris, MlB, Umaga on the bench which will be a high percentage of EQP players.

That doesn't answer my question though, its just a list of non EQP of which I already knew.

Who are these EQP players that are affordable, available, willing to move clubs, available all season and of the kind of quality required? - That's the list I want to see.

Heathen doesn't do debate, he a statement chief.

Does anything please you Heathen. We had one in Daly, who got bought out by Sarries.

Who would you like to see?
