Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: OT (well sort of) - Rugby United New York
« on: January 22, 2019, 07:24:49 PM »
Just read this https://edition.cnn.com/2019/01/22/sport/rugby-united-new-york-major-league-rugby-spt-intl/index.html , and I can't help thinking if the NFL doesn't work out for Wadey, he might end up here.
Depends if he actually fell out of love with the game of course, or just an excuse to bail mid contract. More teams added in 2020 so might become a proper league.

Until you cut out the basic mistakes it really doesn't matter how much your defense improves because your always under pressure and will eventually crack.

Knocking on high balls isn't a defensive frailty, its an individuals mistake and unfortunately the whole team is making them game after game and offering control back to the opposition.

Poor basic skills, poor judgement, poor execution and poor decision making...for me, eradicate these and we are a different side.

Question.

Sops, Fekitoa, Shields and this man make 4 AB's..isn't that 1 over the match day total of foreigners?

Shields is English. Sops is likely classed as Samoan, so Kolpak, Fekitoa classed as Tongan, so Kolpak, then Jeff, so just the one. However with Brexit, it'll be interesting to see what happens there...

Of course Shields is...knob moment, what was i thinking

Posted on the other site:-

What, a team loses a young prospect to a rival team? The wheels must really be falling off at the Chiefs. There must be something wrong with the culture, training ground, food, coaching, strength and conditioning and weather down in Exeter!!!!

*Sarcasm*

Like the post, a bit of bants as the yewt say.

If I remember correctly even Craig had a bit of a slow start with us.

You are correct sir, he was slow.

and I believe the MarkII comment was based around his style rather than his comparative quality or achievements ...

Its almost a good thing it's gone down given the Stuart confirmation...a couple of days for some of the downers to digest it.

Agree, its much more level headed and less irrational here, thanks to VV for sure.

Great to have closure on both and provide a final meal for the speculation mongers.

Be interesting to see who's avail come end of year relegation, if Worc or Falcons (hunch) then they have wings I would covet.

I'd take Heem and Sinoti in a heartbeat. Goneva i'd give my right arm for but he's already off.

Curtis..meh, had to be bad not to get a shot at anything..maybe attitude, who knows.

MM is a shame, when fit his workrate was excellent but maybe injury taking it toll. Be interested to see his next move, good luck to him.
