Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Commonwealth 7s - Pitch
« on: August 15, 2022, 06:52:26 PM »
CCFC want Wasps to spend £500k with zero money from CCFC (maybe a small a loan) to lay a pitch that will tear up like a carpet the moment a rugby match is played. At which point CCFC demand Wasps pay to lay another new pitch at a cost of £500k.  Repeat the process 16 times for the 16 home rugby matches and Wasps have spent £8M keeping CCFC happy. And they'll still find something to complain about.
Is this a SISU plan to bankrupt Wasps? 🤔

SISU have nothing to do with the state the pitch is in.

CCFC rent a stadium and expect a playable pitch, sadly it's unplayable so I'm pretty sure Wasps will be in breach of contract.

Whichever way you dress this up, I'm afraid this is all Wasps fault.

I'm afraid this down to Wasps, they have a tenant and a responsibility to provide a decent playing surface.  If I was CCFC i'd be extremely angry especially as promises were made to improve the playing surface.

For those blaming the football club, take off your Wasps specs for one moment and look at it from their point of view, I’m ashamed.

Snippet- Diamond says he doesn't want Cipriani anywhere near Warriors.

A bit random, was there rumours of him going to Warriers? Otherwise a rather nasty remark from a Diamond.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Wasps v Gloucester: Post match thoughts.
« on: November 27, 2021, 01:57:15 PM »
Last night was a horrible, miserable, cold night, I turned up at car park we normally use and it was pretty empty, on entering the stadium I could see why, clearly this was going to be a very poorly attended game.

The rugby really did nothing to cheer me up, I lost count of the number of times Gloucester just ran straight through us and how many balls we seem to drop, as usual the penalty count was ticking up in their favour, with the referee was giving us nothing and the Wasps players looked lethargic, it didn’t look very promising the moment May touched down the first try.

What happened to the fast flowing running rugby we used to watch a few years ago? It seems to be a distant memory now.

I’ve already started questioning myself about why I’m going and whether the money I’m shelling out on season tickets & car parking is really worth it.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: CBSA Screen Damaged?
« on: October 30, 2021, 10:30:24 AM »
Why was there a banner of Jimmy Hill in the South stand? My guess is, CCFC fans invaded that area. It is the stand reserved for away fans, right? CCFC would be responsible for any damage, and would have to try a civil recovery from whomever did it, which would be very hard to prove. Not that I have been looking, but are the FA investigating the violence at the game?

The Jimmy Hill banner is placed there by the football club not the fans, it's there at every game.

Guys don't try and use the website on a smart phone.

get the 'Coventry Live' app, and the adverts won't spoil your reading of Bobby Bridge.

What's happened to Francois Hougaard or did I dream we'd signed him?

Yes indeed

I phoned them up seconds after I recieved it and I was the first to report it.

It's almost certainly a mistake, he thinks the email has been generated using the wrong column and that my season membership is still active & safe.

While I was talking to the guy his switch board lit up.

I really don't like Exeter Chiefs fans wearing native American Indian headdress or the chanting that rather jarring tomahawk chop but if Wasps were to ban them it would really open up a can of worms.

Any movement to redress this issue has to come from within Exeter Chiefs otherwise it just looks petty and unsporting. The open letter should have been addressed to them not us.

The Wasps Report guys are not official representatives of the Wasps fans base and I find it rather arrogant of them to think they have the right to speak for the whole supporter base.

You'll wonder where the yellow went!

I wish there was a bit more yellow, apart from that it's a meh from me

Vodafone logo rather stands out, hope they are giving us more money to make it so prominent.

Obviously we as fans don't know what condition he's in, but on the face of it this is a superb signing and I'm sure Lee et al will have done their homework.

I'm so looking forward to next season, can't wait.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Ealing Trailfinders v Saracens
« on: June 11, 2021, 06:14:46 PM »
If Ealing win does that mean Saracens don't get promoted?

Or is there something sinister going on behind the scenes if Ealing does win.

I think I know the answer to this, but what's other peoples thoughts?
