Wasps Rugby Discussion / Other Clubs Season Ticket Prices
« on: June 14, 2023, 01:03:09 PM »
Does an anybody know any season ticket holders from other Premiership clubs and whether their season ticket prices have gone up, down or stayed the same?

If I had less games to see I'd want to be paying less than the season before but obviously the Clubs need as much income as they can muster.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / What can we do help the cause?

I'd like to see for sure that Armstrong's bid to buy the club will only happen if the PRL will then allow Wasps to keep their P shares, if as reported this is the case then I'd like to help persuade the PRL that this is what must be done to save our club.

I'm thinking letters, petitions and if it comes to it peaceful demonstrations. It just needs a bit of clarity and organising from someone who knows how to effectively get thousands of peoples views across to the decision makers.

Thoughts?

With more rumours of Gopps leaving for Tigers coming over the weekend, Mills (very) rarely fit enough to lace up his boots and MLB clearly not one of the two quality players we and all top clubs endeavour to have in each position Inside Centre must be a key area for recruitment.

Looks like Fekitoa is off too, I like the look of Spink and feel he will very shortly be good enough to deputise Odogwu so not sure if we need to replace Malakai with a top drawer 13 as long as we have a Academy lad ready to step up. If we don't I think we should recruit a journeyman Centre for Spink to compete with.

Thoughts?

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Team v Tigers not yet named.

Usually the match day squad is named 2 days before the game but nothing up yet, any ideas why so late?

Its game day again and the first one on a Friday for a long time hence the early post as I'm up and (almost) ready for work.

With young, inexperienced lads in the decision making positions of 8,9 and 10 we could struggle at times tonight but on the other hand what a game to get experience!

Either way I'm counting down the hours for what I exlect to be an exciting game.

Morning fellow Waspies

A new season is upon us and hopefully we can go one better than the recently finished last one.

This season we are back in the top European cup competition so thats something to look forward too even if crowd participation means viewing by TV only for the early rounds.

Back to todays game, I expect us to continue our run of wins over Brizzle due to our strong line up and their players who are unavailable for selection.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Where to watch the Final
« on: October 12, 2020, 07:13:29 PM »
I've got to thinking where i'm going to watch the final, i missed the 2017 final as i was in Hospital. So with no option of attending Twickenham and far too big a game to sit at home whats the options?

The Ricoh is one but unsure i'd get a table as i'm not a season ticket holder.

A pub in town where I could get a few mates out

Or my preferred option would be in a Wasps affiliated pub in either Leamington, Warwick or Coventry with like minded Wasps supporters.

So my question is can anyone recommend the third option and what are everyone else's plans?

I'm just off to endure work for the next 9.5 hours and then look forward to this evening's big game at the Stoop.

If we play like we have recently then the game is ours, if not top four will be unlikely.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Sarries could possibly avoid relegation
« on: September 23, 2020, 06:35:30 PM »
There's a distinct possibility that with no crowds in Rugby until at least Spring next year the Championship just won't be played due to finances.

This means Saracens who could be back to back European Champions have no games to play which of course won't bother us but could easily panic the RFU into pressuring the PRL into bringing forward a ring fenced 13 team Premiership.

I can't convey into appropriate words how annoyed I would be at this scenario but it's one we have to consider is a possibility.

Good morning from a wet and dark North Oxfordshire.

I've just eaten a mackerel breakfast and soon heading off to work and then rushing home for the game.

A strong looking Wasps side I think should win this game tonight especially if they keep the penalty count no higher than their opponents

Wasps Rugby Discussion / New DOR Options?
« on: February 16, 2020, 08:07:40 AM »
So we now know that Dai is not moving upstairs and it's unlikely Blackett will take over long term so with that in mind who's available that would be acceptable to Wasps supporters?

I would expect Lee to see out the rest of this season so whoever takes over from Dai may not be available now but will be come the summer.
