Now only Worcester, out of the three, fulfil criteria as we sit here because they?ve got their own stadium. The rest of them are nomadic. So they have got a lot of work to do.

Hang on, who owns Sixways?

Can't help but wonder why an allegedly astute business man needed a financial adviser to tell him that scheme sounded a bit dodgy.

About 99% (plus or minus 1%) of corporate financial dealings sound very dodgy to me but banks, investors, charities, councils, beloved celebrities, and even members of the House of Lords seem perfectly happy to use them. I don't think Derek was overly naive to trust a legal firm and financial advisor about investing in an EU country with the regulations there. He's not sent his money to Panama, Belize or the Caymans for example...

Battle of the young Wasps 8s this afternoon - Barbeary vs Fisilau. Both playing really well. Also Elliot Stooke putting in his usual shift.

I see from the Beeb that Alfie scored twice in Bath's 41 - 24 victory over Exeter.

One of them here
Did he learn that from Nathan Hughes?

Also, someone tell him it's December now so he can shave of that Movember 'tashe.

It's like no one in that organization has two brain cells to rub together.

I have viewed the appointment of Borthwick as a short term measure until OF can become head coach.

OF has all the facets required:

A better track record than Eddie.
Better people skills than Eddie.
Brilliant tactician.
Well liked by everyone that counts.
Family history.
A certain way with words to impress the press.

Plus a great rapport with referees.

Better still Owen .......  just retire.  Take the dog for walks.  Zip your lip.

A lot of talk he is heading to Wigan RL...

But they have lots of good players, why do they want Owen?

Even if the RFU approved the move I can't see them giving Wasps any funding. How much do the Gallagher Prem teams get from RFU currently? Of course, if Wasps return to the Championship or lower then that funding is much much lower.

How is funding handled in the URC? Does the URC provide any funding themselves or is it all handled by the relevant national unions? IRFU funds Leinster and gives any leftover money to the other regions. The WRU just about funds their regions. I assume Edinburgh and Glasgow get the bulk of their funding from the SRFU.

No union funding makes it much harder to survive let alone compete.

NFL teams have an enforced maximum squad size so are the RFU/PRL planning to introduce a similar restriction? It would certainly stop clubs from trying to hoard academy players.

Of course, the RFU/PRL would then have to *cough* enforce it...

Reading this and today?s media, can this be the impetus for our leader OF to be considering that a move to the 13 a side might be attractive?

Oh, god, no. I've just started following league as I'm fed up with union. Stay in union please, Owen.

Interesting that 3 teams have ex wasps starting at 8 this weekend.

It's a shame one of those teams isn't England.
