Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: overseas player
« Last post by westwaleswasp on Today at 05:41:01 PM »The interesting thing for me is that the French clubs actually want English players. Given that they have quite strict rules on foreign players in each squad & all of the southern hemisphere to chose from I wonder if English players are relatively cheap compared to others & what that says about salaries in the prem!
The SH players are offered more closer to home in Japan. That is why English players are the new All Blacks vis-a-vis French teams. Ready made source over the channel to replace the one that has been diverted to Japan.

« Last post by baldpaul101 on Today at 03:21:21 PM »Basically, Atlas, who Holland helped buy Sixways & WW, have gone into a pre-packed administration. Leaving Loxwood (CH) and "the local business community" owning everything. Some nice words about bring elite rugby back to 6 ways & making the location profitable (and keeping employees employed). Also confirms that the RFU have been advised that WW want to join the second tier

There are two pieces on their board - one by a female basically reading out a statement (sounds like) and the second is a bloke talking and kind of answering questions - both BBC people.
