I would imagine they have to be waving large wads of cash under his nose for him to change his mind.
If he does do a deal with SISU I hope he has good lawyers & a sizable fighting fund because litigation will only be a matter of time.....

Very one sided story from the Mail, but I wasn't expecting much from them.

Cov RFC must be very brave or desperate to do a deal with SISU. The legals must have all sorts of assurances and guarantees but, from SISU, what is that worth? I mean, they could find themselves in decades of legal wranglings just because a bird shat on Joy's car in their car park. Avoid. Not worth the risk. And if you think you're getting paid enough to take on the risk, SISU probably won't pay anyway.

Agree, getting into bed with the wrong outfit could be disastrous for CRFC, they are going through a renaissance and, any error of judgement could derail progress. I would leave well alone if I were them.
It was fine when I left it.....

Exactly! How big a wad of cash must it be to agree to deal with a company with such a history of litigation, and of withholding payment!! Cash up front please.

Not sure how it would work anyway from a pitch point of view.

The pitch at the Butts is not upto the same standard as the Ricoh and the CCFC team and fans have complained about that in the past, no way you could play round ball on it.

Cov Rugby were planning a 4G pitch which would result in CCFC not being allowed to play there as I understand the EFL doesn't allow 4G?

Well unless Jon Sharp has done a u turn then Butts is a non starter.

Comment in today's Cov Telegraph.

Coventry United FC have a five year agreement with CRFC to play at The Butts so not sure how you buy them out. Plus I thought CRFC were laying a plastic pitch this summer and EFL rules don't allow that. Strange strange PR methinks.

The Butts does not have planning permission to play Professional Association Football. The ground does not meet EFL minimum standards. If they install a 4G pitch, then even more so.

The story came out of The Times newspaper, that edifice of truthful, honest, decent, well-researched journalism (sarcasm emoji here). One might suspect that someone high up in the ownership of that group has an interest in negative Wasps stories.

This sounds like Sisu planting stories to spread the blame around a bit, now Cov RFC can also be to blame when CCFC goes down the pan (along with the council, Wasps & Alan Higgs). Will there be anyone left in Coventry who doesn't have issues with Sisu?

Simon Gilbert (Coventry Journalist now with BBC) has a tweet from someone who has spoken to Sharp of CRFC who has stated no truth in the current rumour. SISU lost their appeal too.

Coventry RFC seems to be the likely destination, however surely it is too small?

I thought the Coventry RFC owner has said previously that he has no interest in dealing with SISU? Unless his position has changed?

That's what I thought I had read as well. I suspect its just SISU throwing suggestions "out there" to keep the EFL at bay
