Worse places for a long weekend!

Some very happy memories of watching England edge past the Wallabies in 2007, watching the Les Bleus beating NZ on the big screen in the Old Port and then a good old Sunday Session in the sun watching Fiji scare the pants off of South Africa!

Was also there for the w/end. Superb. Thought Worzel had blown it with that penalty but we somehow squeaked home. Great ambience - as you say, particularly around the Old Port.

Was also in Marseille for the 1/4, had to TGV it back to Paris that evening and all the French folk in the hotel bar stood up and applauded as the GF and I walked in to the hotel in our England tops. Was a great tournament all round, the atmosphere was brilliant. All the french in the stadium were supporting the Aussies until the final whistle and then the hugs and kisses flowed as they hoped to meet us in the 1/2 final.

Loved it.

It was a great tournament to be at. Went to the South Africa group game (horrific) and the Final (heartbreaking) as well as the Samoa game which was great fun.

Looking forward to France hosting again, even if it would have been nice to see it awarded to a developing nation.
