New Wasps chief executive (sports) Stephen Vaughan has stated he would 'love to see Coventry City play back in Coventry' - and that "solutions" are being discussed.

I wonder what he will make of Sisu.

He needs to be shown a picture of Joyless with a "Public Enemy No 1" and "Not Wanted" scrawled across it. Better he concentrates on buying a few blue seats to remove the footy designations.

It’s the right positive message from Wasps to SISU.

Sorry disagree. The shit they have thrown at Wasps with associated high costs needs a very hard ball. Nick E was always correct in that.

Absolutely agree, would personally love to see gold and black seats, but a few more plain blue ones would suffice.

You really need to listen to what Steve is saying...he's a smart cookie.  Wasps fans and CCFC will learn a lot about the way he conducts himself and business.

It's not about winners and losers...its about winners all around...although what he knows about that with his background at Gloucester and passion for Villa is beyond me... ;)

He may be a smart bloke but unless SISU's  stance has dramatically changed (being a Glos supporter I'm not sure how much you know about the ongoing saga with CCFC's owners) then I'm not sure its a bright idea to get to involved in even preliminary negotiations.

There's still the forthcoming investigation by the EU around the sale, the outcome of which may have a considerable effect on the Council and subsequently Wasps.

SISU have backed themselves into a corner by drawing the sale to the EU's attention because as far as I'm aware, they can't now withdraw that.

It makes perfect sense for CCFC to play at the Ricoh but why would anyone renew and give a new lease agreement to a tenant that is continually launching legal proceedings?

Have they even paid Wasps legal costs yet?

Neils: We are playing the good guys, which is what we have more or less done throughout this saga. Doesn't mean that we are going to give in to SISU.

Neil’s - how do you know Sisu haven’t paid Wasps their legal costs?

It would appear in the accounts. The charges Wasps  were forced to pay are there (Legal fees) so any financial input from any agreement would also appear. And yes we are due account information later in the year. Also don't think SISU have yet squared away the council as they were told to do by the Courts - I think this is why legal action is being prolonged via the EU. May be totally wrong on all of this though.
