Very exciting that the plan is to move in for next season.

With a new coaching team there will be major change for the club next season.

Although, still no official submission of a planning proposal, so it is a matter of crossing all the t's and dotting the i's with the planning officers (at a cost) before the plans formally go forwards.

This is internal work in the main, so I suspect there will be few if any grounds for refusal.

As to that 'petition', I suspect many who signed it were not Henley residents.

The planning permission is about alterations, particularly if there are changes to external appearance of the building(s) and/or additions or removals.

Internal alterations are not a planning issue, but a building control issue to ensure they conform to the building regulations.

Wasps can move-in and use the existing facilities without requiring any permission, as it is not a material change of use, unless the existing planning permission for the site includes clauses to ensure that the public have access to the facilities.

The petition was led by someone who lost credibility. Campaign support dwindled when it became clear that most of the signatories were Les Reid’s followers who had no idea where Henley in Arden is.

Stratford Council’s politicians and senior managers will be doing what ever is necessary to get the deal done and see Wasps move in.

Great news that we'll be in for next year. It's all starting to fall in to place. New training ground, stream of academy prospects coming through, squad more settled.
