Emphatic win for Dimes men 40-7. Up to second.

Why was it a dire game? Sale scored some brilliant tries

It wasn't a competition.  Sale knew it before they started as Dimes said. Just a case of increasing their points difference.

Dire game to watch though.

I found it very boring and switched off before half time. I really can't be doing with such a one sided game.

I enjoyed the 1st half for some of the skills, but it really wasn't a contest and Bears looked quite ordinary for most of it. I had the 2nd half on but didn't pay much attention as it quickly got very boring so you made the right choice.

However I watched the Ulster/Leinster match and during the commentry learned something interesting.

They were talking about jackaling and the new law interpretations, and pointed out how the best proponents are the Willis twins at Wasp.

I agree ringfencing is a bad idea. But this had nothing to do with that for me. It was all about scheduling and we'll see more games like it as squad rotation pitches one clubs A team against the others B team. It was one sided but I enjoyed Sale's defence - absolutely water tight.

You've missed the point entirely, especially given there is no ring fencing. A changed squad causes shite games, something that ringfencing would promote

Got the point. My point was this was just an inevitable consequence of the circumstances we find ourselves in which are unique. I wouldn't be a fan of ringfencing myself but lots of players are getting game time that wouldn't normally, especially academy products. The theory, whether you agree with it or not, is that through that squads get strengthened and you have a more competitive league.

Yeah I know why the games are shite, that doesn't need explaining. Im not sure that a 40 point drubbing strengthens any league..neither from player or consumer perspective.
Anyway, i think we sort of agree so peace.

:) Indeed. I do think ringfencing is a bit of a myth that I hope never happens.
