Really interesting to see the S&C getting a mention. Back in the day, that seemed to be one of the biggest parts of our four titles (alongside Edward’s rush defence and Fraser Waters running that defence). Typically, Wasps would be mediocre until Christmas before hitting real form, storming up that table to second place, and then doing a number on the first placed team in the final. All the while, players would largely be staying fit when other clubs saw much higher injury rates.

If memory serves me right, the last time we won the title, we finished second having been 11th at Christmas.

At least BB gives possible reasons compared to telegraph!

As has always been said small margins all add up.

Do you think we have been lucky with injuries as well ? Though we have had players out ,not necessarily long term  and in areas that have been key or with a competent 2(or 3) to take over.
