It seems that he will have another year on the practice squad, with a chance of being promoted into the playing squad. Seems like the same as this season to me.

Isn't the difference that he now takes up a spot, whereas before he was an extra that was centrally funded. My understanding is that he must be doing things that the team like and want to keep.

Pretty much i think except this time it is a genuine potentially active place that they could have given to anyone rather than the International Player pathway place which was effectively a restricted free extra space for the Bills so they must be seeing something they like.
