Pieter Scholtz on his way (again) with Kieron off. Tried to sign Bobby de Wee from Ealing but that prop is under contract. Still batting low.

Richard Hill leaving Rouen to be closer to family so there is a spare coach.

Bit on our new hooker leaving Pirates on a high.
Let me tell you something cucumber

Scholtz certainly feels like a done deal. When Brookes departure was "announced" I did feel it was a huge loss. On reflection I'm not sure we'd get an injury free run from him too much going forward. I'd still have liked to have kept him but maybe it's not such a bad thing.

Bobby de Wee is a second row - would fit the brief of our squad second row and can play 6

It will be interesting to see the squad for next season, when all the comings and goings have been settled.

So far, some shrewd reruitment from outside the GP, which will hopefully make the grade.

Lee has mentioned a couple of times there aren’t a lot of suitable players on the market right now.  Premiership clubs re-signed their players on new contracts during lockdown when there was no prospect of games being played.

With no prospect of relegation I can understand why we have taken a punt on cheaper and young talent from the Championship.

Three friends  of mine are called Pizzey;  two pronounce it with  'z' in the middle,  and the other 'ss'.  But it's not as unfortunate as Uren, Piggin or Bumsstead.

He’s South African so will be pronounced de Vee but not sure that makes it much better

De Wee signs a new deal with Ealing so guess that is what the RP was on to
