Hughes got tackled and came down onto the side of it.  Ligament damage I'd guess. Daly took his conversion very well.

Jimmy is OK, got a bit of a bruise. Says he should be OK for Saturday.

Blimey, that's an instant diagnosis. Hope you're right. Dai says he'll need a scan.

I feel fairly confident that Jimmy will be ok.
He was getting treatment for a while, but gave it a good go to try to put weight on it and to push off his ankle as well.

If it had been serious I'd like to think that the medical team wouldn't have allowed him to try, and the pain would have stopped him trying too.

It may be one that needs a rest for a couple of weeks - but these guys are super human.
I have faith that he'll be back next week

Jimmy always struck me as being carved out of granite.  When I met the team earlier this year he had the same presence as Nathan and Ashley.  Just physically imposing, despite being surpisingly small.

I'm sure he'll be back soon.

Apparently out for 4 weeks, as is Daly and Hughes.

I guess we will see if some of the reserves are up to it now?

Update on Gopperth, Daly and Hughes:

Jimmy Gopperth and Elliot Daly: No operation required. Estimated recovery is between 10 and 12 weeks. So mid March to late March (last 4-5 AP games plus semis etc.).

Nathan Hughes: No operation required. Estimated recovery is between 8 and 10 weeks. So late February to mid March.

It's Christmas so i'm looking for every silver lining at the moment.

Come crunch time (March-May), a significant portion of our first choice players will have had a good rest and will be desperate to play and make a difference.
TT, Mullan, Symons, Rieder, Jones, Hughes, Gopperth, Daly would likely all be involved in a matchday 23 if they all recover fully.

If we're still involved in a battle for top4 come March, then it may make all the difference

Seriously annoyed at this.  Just as we were starting to get our mojo back as well.

This was my thought too, might have a v fresh team come spring, let's hope there is something to still play for.
