Upcoming Matches - Tickets
« on: October 18, 2021, 04:54:22 PM »
Wasps have sent out a "Buzz" newsletter.

I thought Prem Cup mayches were included in the ST. However I am obviously wrong as we are being asked to purchase our seats by Friday.

Seems a bit crazy.  Why wouldn't they include it.  Previously it's been a good one for a 'bring-a-friend' offer.

It's hardly a big draw.  I wonder if they're deliberately trying to minimise the crowd to reduce staffing costs if not, then why not encourage STHs to come, show the AIs and encourage the F&B spend.

Would agree. Certainly not making it attractive.

Yes, bit of an own goal that. Get STH's in spending money on food and drink. You've got to pay stewarding etc anyway. Can't help but think the net result will be a crowd possibly measured in hundreds which helps no-one.

Had it been in the season ticket I'd have gone, spent £15 at the ground. Am I inclined to call the ticket office to book a ticket that'll probably be nowhere near my friends whom I sit with, drive all that way with parking added on and miss the internationals and F1 Qualifying? No.

Do. And we are 2 + 2 so the on site expenditure is lost.

I guess that it may be due to the extra GP match. 13 GP games plus 2 HEC games is one less than last years ST. The Prem cup is certainly not a big attraction so it is rather puzzling as to why it is not included.

Could have included these games in the ST and then not had to administer a ticket refund for last season.  Surely the club have missed an opportunity to open the game and game day experience to people who don't usually go.  If each STH could buy a second ticket for say £5 then it might have seen new potential fans come along and enjoy the game day experience and thus be more open to attending Prem games etc. in the future.  As it is I believe only the West Stand will be open and unless the club suddenly start giving out freebies that will only be quarter/half full.
