Please no? What's the concern here, he's not ready for England yet? He'll inevitably get injured with England?

Willis will be desperate to be picked so although we’d all be watching through our fingers I’d not want him to be denied his chance. Barbeary will definitely go and I’m amazed Jones has overlooked Tom Willis as well.

While there may be a concern that players pick up injuries while on England duty, we'd be just as distraught if players left Wasps to further their international ambitions if our head coaches weren't actively promoting them

Surely Tom's problem is that he plays like an 8, and is not only competent, but has all those skills an 8 needs from scrum and open play....so can't fit within the "Jones Vision".....

Tom's problem for England may be the same problem he has for Wasps.

If there's a desire to have Alfie on the pitch, the most likely position is No8.

We know how much Eddie loves an X factor, so I can't see Tom getting picked ahead of Barbeary......

Yes, I’d missed the obvious frailties hadn’t I.  :). Maybe with the total rugby mantra though he may get a game at tight head or scrum half - remember, the number on your back doesn’t matter.

Maybe not a concern, but Lee showing Jack how highly he thinks of him? Jack admitted himself he went through some dark times during his recovery, if getting back in the England camp is what drove him to stick with it then Lee is doing what he can to help Jack stay mentally positive and keep his drive and passion. All part of the modern coach's remit I guess.

The next 12 months is going to be tough for any potential England player (and their clubs). Eddie will want several lbs of flesh. Summer tour, training camps, AIs, training camps, VI nations, taring camps, RWC.

Player welfare should be paramount. Eddie's argument will be that these players should play very few club matches between now and the RWC.
