Give he/she/it due credit RiL have been hammering this for more than 24 hours.  Questioning World Rugby's statement on public consultation. The support the Pacific Islands are getting has to make the money men/ar#eholes think.

Dan Leo is often championing the cause of the Islanders.
Even before his official spokesperson role, he would often talk about rugby topics affecting the players / nations.

I'd like to think that there's now sufficient uproar that a boycott of the world cup won't be necessary.
How anyone in World Rugby thinks that what the game needs is to reduce the money to the Island nations is beyond me
(although, I'm sure Australia and NZ are well aware that doing so will probably drive more Islanders to them to make a career)

Pat Lam was asked about it live on air last night before their game against Glos and just stopped himself from swearing live on TV.

I can't believe this publicised proposal is actually a genuine one but more likely a lever for World Rugby to get their way on other issues with unions around the world.


The NH teams touring SH in our summer.. and the SH teams touring the NH in our Autumn isn't ideal as one set of teams are playing after the end of their domestic season and are probably running on empty but I prefer that to this World League idea.

I'd like to know who is really behind this.. the SANZAR unions or some marketing and tv company offering to throw more cash at World Rugby if this league is implemented?

The idea is so disrespectful to the PI teams and Georgia who are working so hard to compete, the developed unions seem to be thumbing their noses at PI nations but are happy to accomodate their best players when it suits. I was actually angry when this first surfaced but now feel sad that there are folk out there who think this is okay.
