Morning all. Equation is simple today for me - less penalties = Wasps win. Glaws are no great shakes at the moment and Twelvetrees is not the most reliable goal kicker. Be interesting to see how Umaga goes in that regard. 8 points off top four - time to narrow the gap.

Good morning Neils and everyone else too. We've got a lovely sunny morning  here, but it is a bit 'brisk' -  'two coats colder'  as a local friend says.  We've got a bit of building due this week with some new safe stone steps being built (Sir fell down them  but he's ok)  and a new wood burning stove being installed as we had a soot fire (missed clearing the flue last year)  and a visit from 2 local fire appliances, bless them. All is well.  I'm hoping all will be very well for Wasps today too, and that the ream plays as a team and get over their recent bad blip.  Thermos and Tunnocks teacakes will be ready behind the settee, just in case, but  will hopefully not be required.  Safe journeys to everyone wherever
 you may be, and Allez x 3  you Wasps.   C O Y W . .  . . . .

Good morning all, from a quiet S Bucks.

Of late, it's been a case of wondering which Wasps team will turn up, but the outcomes have been disappointing.

Basics have let us down. If we stop giving stupid penalties away, that would be a good start towards getting improved outcomes. On paper we half a fairly decent side out. A bit more cohesion and the confidence that we are currently lacking, will start to come back.

A bad omen is that the bookies have us as odds on favourites again. Let's hope that, today, we can prove that we were worthy favourites to win the game.

Morning all. Lovely in Hastings today, but a tad chilly. Sunny so should warm up a bit. Glaws fixtures are always slightly uncomfortable for me as they are my second team! If we can pressure their 9 and particularly their young 10 today, then I think we could win. Will Porter knows he is under scrutiny. Unfortunately we have the, so far, under performing Vellacott on the bench. Ex-Glaws, I hope he comes good if needed. Nicky Thomas also had a spell at Castle Grim so I suspect would like to put himself about, if he has the opportunity. I've been impressed by Chris Harris in their centres. We'll see what happens when he and Malakai clash.

Please no injuries. Please no red cards.

Allez, allez, allez.

Morning all,
Chilly and slightly dull at the moment.
Two teams that are lacking confidence. I’m not confident of our scrum but if we can stop giving away penalties l think we can sneak this.
Gloucester have selected an inexperienced 10 that we should target.
It’s going to be a close one.

Morning all - hoping the game is a step up from the England Test Cricket....It's brisk in S Glos this morning, bright and not windy - idea rugby weather, perhaps

With some more experience on the pitch and a more than competent team - it's (obviously) down to making the most of our resources today. Whilst not looking to a conservative strategy - I hope that we look to get into the game and then look to take risks in the right part of the park. We have an excellent back three and muscle in the centres - and it's time to come together as a team

I always feel optimistic pre game.....but if it's going badly today - I am planning to make golden syrup steamed sponge for our diner tonight and might look to the kitchen a little earlier.......

Morning,

Hard to realise that one year tomorrow was the last time we were at the Ricoh, watching Wasps beat Gloucester  39-22.

Here's hoping that the result is repeated today, and is the start of the sort of revival we saw last season.

Morning all. Always nervous about playing Gloucester, especially when we aren't in great form. Having used to work there and having several Gloucester supporting friends who make sure to let me know when they beat us, it's never a game I want to lose.

Hopefully having a recognised 7 on the pitch will enhance our discipline and maybe the backs will get to shine.

Morning all,

Lovely morning here but expected to cloud over so I'd better get out for my walk.

I've been thinking about Oghre at 2. It effectively gives us a 4th back rower in the loose so I wonder if the game plan is to go looking for turnovers and fast ball at the breakdown. We've been a bit slow of late and that hasn't helped our core game.

I'm also looking for Will to improve his passing, my impression is that he has a tendency to pass a bit high and at the player rather than in front of them with his long passes.

Given the way England's batsmen have gone in India, a cricket score may soon be a rugby score.....)
Still lovely day for rugby, and cricket, spring is in the air here.
