England: Malins; Watson, Slade, Farrell, May; Ford, Youngs; M Vunipola, Cowan-Dickie, Sinckler, Itoje, Ewels, Wilson, Curry, B Vunipola.

Replacements: George, Genge, Stuart, Hill, Earl, Robson, Lawrence, Daly.

Malins starts. Daly benched.

Long overdue change at full back. Wasn't expecting anything remotely different and didn't get it.

As was stated in the week, he has a dodgy shoulder so guess he wasn't fit, or was just never going to get picked.

A bit unexpected - though Daly does make the best bench replacement. LCD has been in good form, but it's all a bit "plus ca change". Opportunity lost to try some new things.

With the necessity, it seems, of selecting Farrell, nothing too much will or can change. I presume that if Lawrence gets off the bench, someone might pass him the ball this time...

Two steps in the right direction (Malins and Cowan-Dickie) but still too much deadwood left.
