Alternative viewing this weekend
« on: March 18, 2021, 12:09:38 PM »
With us playing on Friday night, chance maybe to look at different games that are on apart from premiership and 6 nations.

Saturday  has Rugby Europe championship games

Russia v Georgia 11:00

Romania v Spain  13:00

Can get these live or on catch up from Rugby Europe site, though if on catch up beware they put final score up underneath video so best to try and avoid looking down until got screen sorted!

Wasps ladies take on Loughborough lightning at 14:00 link here

Can’t see any games that clash with England’s . Was planning on just watching final 10 mins just to see Dobby come on!

Found a game though though that will stretch weekend out,

Scarlets v Connacht is being televised on S4C at 20:00  Monday night.

Those times for the Rugby Europe Championship are Central European Times.

Major League Rugby starts this weekend. They announced a deal with Rugby Pass to launch The Rugby Network (https://www.therugbynetwork.com/) where you can stream matches live and on demand outside of the USA and Canada. There is also an app with Chromecast/Airdrop compatibility to watch on TVs. (Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coliseum.therugbynetwork, iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-rugby-network/id1556381832). If you can stand the cringeworthy team names, it's a pretty entertaining competition to watch.

This week's matches are:

Saturday: NOLA Gold v Old Glory DC at 8.00pm, San Diego Legion v Rugby United New York at 10pm, LA Giltinis v New England Free Jacks at 10.30pm, Rugby ATL v Toronto Arrows at 11pm,
Sunday: Houston Sabercats v Seattle Seawolves (Ross Neal's club) at 12am, Austin Gilronis v Utah Warriors at 12am.

If anyone is curious, Will Simonds is playing for Nottingham this weekend. Had no idea he was on loan! This might be an incentive to keep an eye out (an additional alternative viewing).

Ladies match worth watching, wish we’d had Sarah Cox as ref last night.
