This will take more than one game to fix.
It is going to take conversations along the lines of:
'It isn't your job to try to win a game single handed, so stop trying so hard. One thing you need to stop doing is ..., and one thing you need to do better is.'
One thing most of the players need to be told is, 'It is not your job to try and jackal the ball, so don't do it. That job falls to these two or three players only ...'
For Brookes, the one thing I would tell him to stop is entering a breakdown like a random Exocet missile. Very little is achieved piling in to a pile of players, other than a yellow or red card, or getting one of our own players injured.
Fekitoa needs to be told to stop emulating Daly by running sideways or backwards.
Jimmy needs to be told to stop doing cross field kick passes, he simply can't do them.
Vailanu needs to be told to make sure he is on side before he does the next thing that comes in to his head, ask himself, 'Where am I on the pitch right now?'
Oghre has quite a few work ons, like how to throw a ball in to the lineout and hit the mark, and to pace himself more.
Quite a few players had a decent game. Joe and Brad worked their socks off. Minozzi was OK.
