Depressing reading. I thought Paolo deserved a little more. His defensive tackling was, on the whole, excellent. He was more tightly marked in the second half. Levi Douglas should get a start. He played vigorously when he came on. Tom Foley seemed to have fair game but BB reminded me of Cordero's 'unintentional' knock on from a pass from Jacob to Josh. Strange decision. I thought it should have been a yellow, with a penalty try.

I thought Shields was mom by quite a way. The whole back row played well. A bit worried by Fekitoa's distribution. Coupled with Umaga's loose distribution your heart is in your mouth when we start chucking it about in the back line. I think it's long overdue to try Fekitoa at 12 with Odogwu at 13. That said Kibirige needs to find some urgency if he's to fill in on the wing.

I think Paolo has to start over Fekitoa, get him onto the ball more often. Fekitoa is in a pretty rank streak of form
