Further to last Saturday’s home game against Bristol Bears, we would like to apologise for the fact that Season Members were issued paper tickets for this fixture at short notice.
As has been communicated previously, the Club were hoping to make available digital Season Memberships which could be downloaded to a smartphone. Unfortunately, due to problems with our current ticketing software, it has not been possible to launch this product. Until we are confident that we are in a position to offer you this service without encountering issues, we have decided to provide all Season Members with a new membership card for the 2021/22 campaign.
We have already started the process of printing these membership cards with the aim to start dispatching these as from Monday 4 October. It is anticipated that all membership cards will be received by Thursday 7 October so that Season Members have these in advance of the Northampton Saints fixture. Please note that member cards will be sent directly to the lead booker only.
If you have not received your membership card by the close of play on Thursday 7 October, please email ticketoffice@wasps.co.uk to advise them of this so the team can issue you with a paper ticket or a print at home ticket for the Northampton Saints fixture.
We are aware the current ticketing system requires significant upgrading and improvement. This is an area we are investing in and launching a new platform is a major area of focus. We hope to provide updates about this in the next few months.
The last 18 months or so have been extremely difficult for us all, with some of the ongoing staffing and supply chain challenges expected to take a significant amount of time to resolve. However, the Club are working hard, in conjunction with some of our suppliers, to recruit more staff and improve operations so we can deliver the service you have a right to expect.
Furthermore, we would like to communicate the following to provide clarity for our supporters:
• The Clubhouse is closed due to ongoing building work at the stadium, and we hope to be able to reopen this next season. Unfortunately, we do not have another area of the stadium available to relocate previous Clubhouse members to at this time
• The Anecdote is open to all supporters both pre and post-match
• Fans wishing to purchase merchandise on matchdays can do so at the hummel pop-up store outside of the North Stand. A new, permanent store will be opened in due course with further updates to follow soon
• We are aiming to introduce a pre-match Fan Zone and working with suppliers to deliver this
As part of efforts to improve communication, and now that the lifting of certain restrictions allow us to do so in person, we will be holding a Fans’ Forum, as well as undertaking several ‘fan focus’ groups across the course of the season. We will aim to engage with a range of supporters at these ‘fan focus’ groups so that we can gather feedback from a number of different perspectives.
The Fans’ Forum, an exclusive Season Member event providing insight into plans and expectations for the current season, will be hosted by Stephen Vaughan, Lee Blackett and several members of the senior playing squad at our new Elite Performance and Innovation Centre in Henley-in-Arden on the evening of Wednesday 27 October. To register, please click HERE. Please note that places will be limited, and successful applicants will be contacted shortly after registering.
Thank you for your ongoing support and also your patience. We are committed to getting things right to ensure every supporter has the best-possible experience when dealing with the Club.
Kind regards,
Adam Benson
Wasps Chief Commercial Officer
