So they should be. Their sport is failing. The problem is writ large in the article “a revised fixture list was circulated but rejected by some clubs”. You can’t run this sort of thing when you need the agreement of 13 (11) separate entities. Much talk of moving to a different model etc. The fact is the horse has already bolted.

Shugs - the article about this in the Grauniad and similar on our fate is full of "bolting the door" It just seems that the whole of rugby, especially the RFU and PRL have been ignoring the evidence of the past (Richmond etc) and just hoping for the best.

Nothing to base that hope on except that the bottomless pockets of benefactors will always be there.

I think I'm probably more upset this morning after reading Kitson's v kind piece in the Guardian which sets out just how important a team Wasps are (were...) And if "rugby" can let Wasps and indeed Worcester go to the wall, then rugby is in a very dark place.

It's going to take a very strong coffee to get going today. Not exactly looking forwards to a lunch time meeting over video. That's going to be a double espresso minimum....

The irony of the Government calling the RFU/PRL to account when, if what's been said is true, HMRC changed their minds on a payment plan (that was being kept to) and effectively pulled the plug on us.
