Slightly OT: CCFC

A couple of questions: does anyone know when the Supreme Court is going to rule on whether SISU's appeal will be allowed? Also, when does the EFL need to know where CCFC will be playing their home fixtures next season? Both surely must be getting close.

I seem to remember someone employed by the SC (recorder or someone) saying that the question on whether the appeal will be heard would be informed before the end March/Easter Recess. After which it might be 9 months to actually hear the appeal depending on cases in front of it (which might be quite a few given the current political upheaval). On EFL I thought I read they had to be informed within the first 2 to 3 months of the new year. However not sure if there is anything hard and fast that can't be judged!
Let me tell you something cucumber

Mostly correct. The EFL don't actually have a date set in stone, just that it has to be 'at the start of the year'. It was interpreted as meaning January, and maybe the start of February, but, as it is vague, the EFL can fudge right the way to the end of June!

I would imagine that they would be given until the fixtures are generated, and even then they could be persuaded to go almost up to the start of the new season...Spurs seem to be able to extend their stay at Wembley almost on a week by week basis.

Also, from my experience dealing with Margate FC (albeit with the Conference rather than the EFL), they will be given every opportunity.

Indeed. The last thing that the EFL want is to be sued. Despite saying that they (the EFL) will not allow CCFC to play outside Coventry, I wouldn't mind betting that, push come to shove, a temporary deal will be allowed.

For sure. Whether they would survive that or not is another thing.
