CVC again

Apparently in discussion with 6N to purchase a share of the future. Apparently in today's Times reported on BBC gossip. I didn't think they would stop at the premiership.
Let me tell you something cucumber

Pro14 too I believe.

And the 6N are telling World Rugby that they don't plan on stopping the 6n, so won't be joining the world global league thing. Aus, SA and NZ are threatening to stop playing in the AIs apparently, if they don't join the global league. Presumably they are aware that the NH would equally respond by not going there in the summer (nor the lions). Which seems to be a bit of a "Do as we want, or we'll blow our brains out." approach.

There was talk of the 6 nations being taken off BBC/ITV as the various unions try to maximise their revenue. I wonder if that would be part of CVC's plan. They had a working relationship with Sky Sports when they owned the commercial rights of F1.

I can't see the world league taking off. In my opinion is being pushed by the SANZAR unions to try and increase their revenue but I can't see how it can be squeezed into the NH and SH schedules as I doubt the various leagues (French , Eng, Pro 14) are going to give way

Don't know why, that put me in mind of Blazing Saddles:

The clip before this (to give it yet more Mel Brooks humorous context):
