Thank goodness he did. I don't think he would have fitted in at Wasps at all well. Presumably he thought so too.

That rumour has been around for a few weeks and, I must admit, I thought it had been announced. Eddie is either going or told his team he is going to shake up the coaching.

This was on the rumour mill months ago on the Tiggers board.. so it might just be someone reading that then repeating the rumour.

If true though, I wonder if that's as a head coach role? Surely he wouldn't leave the England set up to then go and coach at a club as a forwards coach.

Recalling his post match interviews as captain for England.. he doesn't strike me as the sharpest tool in the box nor somebody that that would naturally suit the DoR role.

When EJ does his post match press conferences at the WC it's John Mitchell who sits next to him

TRP this weekend virtually confirmed it plus saying that Murphy was staying in role.

His team is shaken up regularly - I understand 20+ back room and coaching staff have left during his tenure. The impression from Kearns and others - who are not EJ fans to be fair - is that there definitely is a shelf life for many working with EJ.

I'd say that's somewhat harsh on the guy.
I remember reports of him being meticulous in preparation, and a real expert in set piece play.

I was never a huge fan of him playing for England as I was always after bigger, heavier locks.
He was often a scapegoat for a poor team at the time, but both Saracens and England have since seen a lot in him

My opinion was that with Borthwick England entered quite a severe malaise which ended when Mitchell was recruited. When it was mentioned we were talking to him I was quite pleased when it didn't come off.

The feedback from the England Wasps lads about him was very complimentary indeed.

I presume this refers to recent or current Eng squad members.. if so, I think you have to take those compliments with a pinch of salt. Those players aren't going to slag off a current Eng coach or someone who might become their boss at a later stage.

If everything is a conspiracy, how do you know what's real?

Conspiracy is reality! Why do you not think it is?

If conspiracy is reality then is it really conspiracy and not normality..   :-\

I'm talking about their feedback once back at Wasps, not what they've said to the press while with England.
