There is an awful lot of French slang in there:

`Ça fait quand même mal au casque de prendre une branlée à la maison.`

Quality. With deference to the more straight laced among you, I won't translate that. The Google translation is quite funny, the real translation funnier still.

Let's just say it relates to having your pants pulled down and somebody doing something with your boy parts, which the average guy would not enjoy.

Somebody was just a little upset at how bad they thought they had played. They had written off our team as no hopers, and thus put all the blame internally.

Ha ha....I took the liberty of translating it for myself, I don't expect to read that in TRP anytime soon.

When I first read 'A vulgar porridge of rugby', I thought it was an article about the EAs....
It was fine when I left it.....

Don't think I've ever heard a game described as vulgar porridge. My idea of vulgar porridge is anything with anything but salt added to it. Not sure how Agen conjured up the idea that they would win - they were lightweight and poor.

Without exception, all the Agen fans I spoke to before the game said that theirs was a very young side and so expected to be beaten. Maybe not that comprehensively, but they didn't rate their chances at all. I pointed out that ours was also a relatively young side, but in fairness we also had some very good, experienced players in amongst them.

It looks like the EPCR aren't putting up any form of video of the match, not even highlights, so does anyone know if one exists? - can't find it on Youtube/Dailymotion etc.

Gopperth was outrageous in the second half. Ashley was class for most of the match too.

Here's hoping we can translate that attack to future matches
