Could be pure supposition of course, if true we are getting light in the second row.
It was fine when I left it.....

In as much as anything said without the club confirming it, it makes sense.

Will would want to play for Wales regularly (now he has fixed his ties to that nation), and this move would be as good as it could get for him.

Even IF Wasps had him under contract for next season, I think they would release him simply because it would be the right thing to do. The same goes for Thibaud at the end of his contract. Such things are what they are.

I have asked this before, but I think there is another Cardall coming through? I certainly saw a (one year) younger brother in one of the A matches last year I think? Was it against Tigers towards the end of the season?

I understood Rowlands already has a contract at Wasps for 20/21 season, this still allows him to play for Wales, it would be after that season that he would very likely move to Wales assuming he is still part of the Wales set-up.

Plus I think he would be better playing for Wasps than the whipping boys at Dragons to keep the quality of his play up.

Yes he is with us until the end of next season then he has to choose. As is Tibo.

It will be interesting to see how the new chap develops this year. Viku has had a year to work himself in and from his game against Agen (ok not spectacular opposition) he could be very good in the long term.

Will would be better off awaiting an offer from Ospreys if he is really keen to keep playing for Wales. Or he could speak to Tomas Francis at Exeter who "extended" his contract a season or so ago and therefore remains eligible for Wales. Dragons are the worst of the 4 teams in Wales and have lost two of their internationals to other clubs in the last few months. Dreadful ground, small crowds.

When Wasps played there in the development cup I went into the clubhouse/bar to ask about watching the internationals after.....it felt like going back to the 1970s or something. This was not a club with money.

To be honest I think Scarlets are the place to be, worshipped locally, reasonable ground that gets atmospheric quickly- good facilities-  I have taken PE lessons in their indoor barn and it is not bad at all, the place has a good footing in the community. The Ospreys are certainly not bad on paper- plenty of nice places to live in Neath and Swansea, although the Mumbles and Gower area is stupidly overpriced- but the crowds are very disappointing and Europe has been a distant dream for them.

Stay a long time at the Scarlets and you won't have to buy a drink again in Llanelli. Which is fine as long as you want to drink in Llanelli.

Really hope we keep Rowlands. I had my doubts early on but I think he's first choice now alongside JL (albeit largely due to JG injuries). Interested in what others think of TV. We've seen a bit of him with glimpses of promise but I have him behind Cardall at the moment. Appreciate it's still early for him but anyone seeing anything different to me?

Until the end of next season when he has to make up his mind. Usually that means in the run up to January but god knows when in 20/21.

Yes, point taken Neils. Will depend on how integrated he becomes in the Welsh squad - similar to the TY scenario. Even so, an extra season gives us some breathing space and we can get some game time for Cardall, Vukasinovic and Edwards.

Apart from my earlier rude remarks about the Rodney Parade pitch, Newport Gwent are probably the Welsh region in the most precarious financial position. They have lose internationals recently to Cardiff Blues. If he really wanted to go to Wales, there are three more attractive regions to join.
