Sounds like the Shop transfer to Elite Sports could be permanent.

Big plans to hopefully keep us afloat. Interesting he is now stating rugby amounts to only a quarter of the group (not long ago it was a third).
Let me tell you something cucumber

Going to take this positively. No way they'd be getting big new clients if the whole project was likely to go tits up soon. Suggests maybe we've got some more guaranteed funding from Richardson when we need it.

There needs to be a shop on site somewhere so would assume it is just being re-located.

Very positive news IMHO.

It sounds like great news and will only increase the value of the business.

Excellent.

I've wondered, recently, with Derek's former business being insurance, if he has been very shrewd and had taken out 'pandemic' cover for loss of business. I think that cover is separate from ordinary loss of business cover. Pure speculation on my part.

on the subject of grand plans, does anyone have any updates on the Training Ground saga?

I just queried on the other site whether this excellent news finally ends the will they/won't they saga with CCFC? I'd like to think this new deal shows we are planning ahead for a future without the football team.

Fingers crossed this all goes smoothly and marks the next step in our "survival" plan.

Not a lot is happening. The council used to have 2 planning Committees; A & B, but I see that, at the last meeting, A was disbanded, leaving only B running. They are now only meeting about once a month (sometimes twice) and discuss only a very few applications. I wouldn't mind betting they are months behind, which is really unfair on anyone waiting for a decision. Bureaucracy slowing down the local economy, the exact opposite of what is needed in these times. Next meeting is on Wednesday 7th October, and the agenda is normally posted on the preceding Thursday (tomorrow).

Do you suppose Elliot will apply for the franchise of the Wasps Coffee House/Chain??   (There's something special  going on at Wasps)
