Italy not guaranteed a place in champions cup

Changes to Champions Cup qualification means that the top seven teams go through regardless of country. The Challenge Cup winners also go through to take the 20th spot.

That's certainly going to make it fairer, but I don't think it's going to help Italian rugby any.  Not that having a team in the cup seems to have helped much so far.

Makes the whole thing more competitive with less dead rubbers. Are they keeping the Challenge Cup open to Treviso and Zebre?
