Great win. Thoughts with Zach. JTA mom by a mile for me. Second half we started making dents going forward and Robson bought some nouse. Chronic lack of offsides called against Sale. Credit to Sopoaga for his place kicking. Tally of injuries seems to be Zach and Alfie. Was a bit worried about the MLB PO pairing defensively but they did well. Good 4 points and watching out for Zach updates.

Agree about JTA; so much energy for a prop.

+1

He’s become the hack kick king of late ... and he always has this cheeky look when he does it.

I’ve often wondered about his fitness but today’s 80 minute shift surely answers that!

Agree he deserved the MOTM award - with all due respect to Rowlands I’m not sure he would of even made my nomination list...

The pitch at AJ needs addressing.
Council owned and it played like it.
Looked like the Melbourne turf before Jones was put out of cricket for so long.

I must confess that I was only hoping for a losing bonus point, I don't think I have been this happy about being so completely wrong before.

I hope Kibirige is ok. Looked really nasty and really hope it's not serious.

JTA agreed is MOTM, unbelievable work rate. Tom West was also very good!

Atkinson's try was classy and he's hinted at that dummy a few times, finally pays off.

Sopoaga was quietly reliable. Great work kicking points and management.

Porter wasn't as good as Robson, but that's understandable.

We're starting to get plagued by injuries though. It's very concerning.

When was our last win away at Sale?

Won there September 2018 but that was first time with Dai in charge ( I think).

Thanks, knew we had a terrible record but had forgotten about the 2018 win.

Sopoaga was quietly reliable. Great work kicking points and management.

While Zach was being attended to, I noticed  Lima going to the side of the pitch and 'cycling' to keep his muscles loose. That's experience for you.

I saw that too! He was also having a quick talk with Gleeson, no doubt talking little tactics.

Delighted with the win. I don't know what more JTA could have done to get Man of the Match today. Maybe he should have gone and made the commentators a cup of tea during the injury break. Atkinson looks more and more like a young Alex King every time I see him play, and that turnover by Alfie was something special, although fill credit to Cruse to get up and get on his shoulder to finish it off.

Sadly the injuries to Zach and Alfie felt inevitable given how CMK and Tempest neglected their duty of care towards player safety in the first half. With Alfie's injury, Luke James went straight round the side to tackle him and when you tackler a player in that fashion behind them it would be sheer luck that avoids a serious injury. With Zach, I've always been under the impression that you aren't allowed to a) dive on a player on the ground or b) tackle a player without the ball. Yarde chose to dive on him and knocked him out in the process. Quite how that isn't a red card I genuinely don't understand.
