"No clear head contact"

Says the ref after watching several replays of Farrell headbutting the Italian scrum half, with both players staying down to get treatment on their head injuries. Bizarre.

I admit I’m not predisposed to giving Farrell the benefit of the doubt - I thought he was lucky with that one.

Late, unnecessary and impact to head.....

Farrell, losing it, such that Maro had to pull him away and iron gloves with the ball......

Also previously when told off by the ref continued to argue and when dismissed looked as if he swore a tad.

Didn’t see the head contact, but Farrell went down holding his arm.

That said, no difference to Gaskell the other week who got a Yellow.

Surprised Ref didn’t call it late and cheap and give a penalty to Italy.

Plus 1. Why  give the ref a decision to make?

Because he's a twat of the first order?

Also don't think the TMO has covered herself in glory.

No - for that, for some forwards passes and several other moments where offside seemed to be optional....Double movement for Hill try.

England def got the better of the officiating - easily could have been rather closer. The bizarre what was allowed around the breakdown was "confused" at best

Nothing in that Farrell hit, if it was Jack and he’d got binned for it we’d be in uproar

Agree TMO did not have a good game. I thought for the first try there was a blatant knock on by May?

I thought so too - a flap forward.

Re Farrell on the SH, we were all up in arms about the yellow for similar, Lol noted that after the game and i t was for me reckless and also another example of Farrell looking for contact high up a player's body. Something I believe (if the summariser was correct) that world rugby are trying to get rid of. There would have been no head contact had be been tackling lower.

The second had a very forward pass.
