Looks from Sale Twitter that Tommy Taylor is being announced as signing for Sale tomorrow.

Not surprising and sad to see him go. I've always liked watching him play, but he never quite seems to live up to his abilities consistently and someone has to make way for the youth that's coming through.

Tricky one, one of the hookers had to give way and probably best that we keep Cruse as first choice for next season to slowly move back to being third choice as Barbeary and Oghre take the reins, and then Cruse being at an age where he’s probably happy at that.

Will really miss Tommy’s defensive work, one of the best we’ve had since Worsley

Great tackle stats when fit. But probably quite expensive and we need to give Barbeary and Oghre game time. Cruse is top notch so we have good options.

With Oghre and Barbeary, it's a shame to see a good player go, but let's be honest, if given a choice between Oghre/Barbeary or Taylor, I think we'd all pick to keep the youngsters.

Big shame. Tommy has plenty left in the tank and will do well at Sale.

Nice bloke too.

He's a cracking player but realistically he will be wanting a decent cash amount as he gets older and Oghre and Alfie are the future.
RugbyInsideLine suggested that their theory was that Akkher may leave to join brother at Wuss and therefore free up a slot as Sale will have 4 hookers with Taylor included.

Confirms why Lee is looking for another flanker as mentioned in TRP thread as Oghre and Barbeary only going to be emergency cover there next season.

We are losing some big players - TT, WR,KB, LS - with no confirmation they are going to be replaced.

Money used to stay afloat ??
Money used to re-instate players salaries ??

The longer there is silence (although this is how WAsps usually operate) the above will be the suspicion I think.
Let me tell you something cucumber

I wouldn't be too concerned. I think Lee/Wasps are just taking time to assess the current situations.

If you look at who we are losing that we realistically know of and are/or fairly certain will leave.

Definite

Owlett - Never really got an opportunity and has decided to move on. Replaced with Millar Mills
Rowlands - Big loss and fantastic squad player but with International Duty, can we really afford to lose him and Launch every time internationals are on?. Stooke likely to replace.

Likely

Taylor - Shame to lose but most likely on decent cash and with Cruse, Oghre and Barbeary well stocked. Likely to get another Champ player or squad player from Prem.

Brookes - Great scrummager but looks knackered/injured a lot. Discipline lets him down sometimes but currently no clear replacement. Should have some cash to replace him, would like Schonert from Wuss.

Sops - Interestingly has been made official (move to Lyon) on Wiki. Never really got going and fallen behind Umaga/Atkinson as well as Minozzi/Miller/Simmonds. Will save some cash too. We also have Crossdale coming in who will likely cover fullback.

We always tend to be slow on transfers not because we don't have them but tend to go in batches. It wouldn't surprise me if TT is confirmed that we see a signing or a re-signing to offset it. If we see TT leave, i'd take it if we see a new hooker sign or more importantly Cruse/Bass resign.

Swifter return from injury than expected?
