Yes, enjoyed our scrum and we still have Scholtz to come. Still worried about 12 but more positives than negatives for me.

A single game a panic does not make, but 10 could be a serious concern that if Jacob gets injured early on. Is there anyone in the Academy ready to step up?

No - that’s Charlie’s job for a few years yet at only 19.
Jimmy said he was rusty yesterday - might just need to wrap him in cotton wool as back up 10 until Atkinson is back and not try to use him at 12 much where the potential for a knock is arguably more possible - but then do we have enough at 12?
Booj gets injured so Fekitoa moves to 12 and then Spink I’m at 13 who doesn’t have a great injury record - with Paolo and Mills out we could be seeing a few more centre partnerships again this season

Some other points:-

The game flowed more with no constant TMO checks, however there was one howler when the ball was kicked and landed on the side line, so the lineout should have been taken back where it was kicked from. However the "linesman" was unsighted and thought the ball had bounced just inside the line. A TMO call would have sorted that out.

The word WASPS on the seats in the East Stand seems to have been arrived at, not only by the mass alteration of the seats, but by a quick dark paint mist over the existing light blue ones Hope it doesn't wear-out too quickly. (our seat is now in the central bar of the central S)

They haven't taken the opportunity, during the alterations to sort out the PA in the East Stand. There were some mumblings coming from the "ether", but almost unfathomable.

On your last point I emailed the club after the Leicester match to complain - couldn't hear the presentations - so nice to know they take note!

It was raised at the last "fans forum" meeting that was held prior ro initial lockdown, and Stephen Vaughan made mention that they thought it was something to do with the timbre of Pete Nuttalls voice :)

So they have known about the problem for some time.

As the article mentions, if Jacob gets injured in the first match the backup is Jimmy and Rob Miller. Both solid players and I still have a lot of respect for both of them but I don't think they will set the team alive at 10. Who knows how long Jimmy and its hard to see him playing a lot of back to back games at 10, and Rob is 32.

With Jacob and Charlie fit its not not a problem, but with our injury luck .....

Yeah because all the other events that Pete has worked at in a number of different stadia up and down the country all have the same issue don't they?!? Sorry, but that is just balls. The issue is with the PA system, not the poor bloke trying to make himself heard through it.

The music lyrics are always audible through the PA, think we have said before it might be the radio mics they use which make it unclear, didn't help yesterday when music and announcements were on at the same Time.
