First of the real season! Wayhay!

OK on the long journey to the CBSA.
Miserable looking day - just driven through rain - so hope the lads can lift the gloom a little.

Note the morning papers have us as losers so nothing to lose against four ex Wasps.

Sunny intervals and 20/21 degrees forecasted for Coventry this afternoon.

Safe travels to everyone coming to Coventry today.

1) About bloody time.
2) First day of autumn as far as I'm concerned.

Right finally got in -
People with smart phones killed some turnstiles. Then smartphones seemed to be waved in - at least for  the West.
Why oh why only open food stalls opposite turnstiles.
Football rules with tops of bottles removed - makes it fun with two chips ,two pies and two topless cokes. No amount of arguing could persuade them otherwise. Somebody will have to clean up one bottle knock out of hands.

Now for the rugby.

Plenty of noise for a small crowd! Well done those that are there.

We're struggling with the maul when it shifts to the side. The one we handled really well we had a wide spread of players in contact to prevent the shift. We can do it, but we're struggling and we need to fix it quick otherwise they'll just do the same again and again.

Good first 40 overall. Jacob needs to sort his kicking out pronto....crossdale is rapid, our defence looks markedly better...but deffo can tell it’s our first proper hit out.

Happy with that.  Piutau keeping them in it and a serious threat, as expected.

All the new players doing well so far. Bomber doesn't seem phased by the higher level.

Loved the way they let Cruse take the opening and bring his kids on. Nice touch.
