The cancellations and Covid enforced absences are the reason why we should simply enjoy every game against European opposition on a match by match basis, and not fret about winning the tournament. If silverware comes our way this season, awesome! If not and our continuation in he tournament was influenced by forces outside of our control then I will lose no sleep over it at all. Let’s just enjoy the ride.

Finishing the season strongly and getting back in the Champions cup for next season, when hopefully the structure will revert back to the multiple groups and 6 group game stage is the main objective in my humble opinion.

Although good for us, Castres was robbed.

Agree

And me. On other places people are concentrating on the last 10 mins but frankly, it seemed like that from the start. I've rarely seen such a good turnover in the first half be pinged....

What I don’t understand is that supposedly Toulouse had submitted a team to play against Cardiff, which didn’t include the Covid effected players but the game was still cancelled - Why?

What permutations do we need from the 3 games tonight?
Do they effect us?
Haven’t had time to look.

Just looked at the Heineken cup leagues, why are Quins ahead of Tigers? I pretty sure Tigers have a better points difference

So will a point see us through?
Depending on us not losing by a country mile.

If we get a single point and maintain a healthy points difference then we are in. If we get 2 points or more we are through.

If we only get 1 point, Stade would need a bonus point win and to win by more than 25 points atm to make up the current points difference.

By my calculations we are guaranteed Challenge Cup if we don't get any points.

However, if we win we finish 5th v Leinster, or 6th v Ulster if Connacht win.

A draw or 2 bonus points will put us 7th against La Rochelle.

A single bonus point would clinch 8th v Racing unless Stade Francais get a huge bonus point win against Connacht.
